Dribbling Mastery: 10 Minutes a Day

Dribbling is a skill that sets great players apart. Begin with 3 sets of 3 minutes weaving through cones. Set up 5 cones spaced 1 meter apart, and use both feet to guide the ball around each cone. Focus on controlling the ball with your instep and outside of the foot. After cones, move to zig-zag dribbling in a straight line for 2 minutes. The goal is to keep the ball within 30 cm of your feet at all times while maintaining a steady pace. For an added challenge, time yourself: aim to complete each drill in under 20 seconds and gradually increase speed without losing control. Regular dribbling drills not only improve close control but also boost confidence in one-on-one situations during matches.
